Anti-homophobia music video – are you in?
On May 17th, the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia (IDAHOBIT), my new single Run For Your Life will be released.
Are you gay, lesbian, bi, trans or in any other way non-cis-gender? Do you fancy dancing in a party scene? Or snogging in the street with a camera pointing at you? Then join in for the video shoot on 13th and/or 14th of April! Send a short note to hallam[at]hallamlondon[.]com and you’ll receive more information and a secret link to listen to the song in advance. I’m looking forward to hearing from you!
I wrote the ironic anti-homophobia song Run For Your Life in response to the reactionary debate on marriage equality. Musically inspired by two techno tracks on my playlist, it evolved as a song to dance for with an indie twist. It was produced by Dave Sanderson (65daysofstatic, Reverend and the Makers) in Sheffield during the recordings for my soon-to-be-released new indie rock album Be Yourself in 11 Easy Lessons.
